Massoud Hassani invented a low-cost land mine detonator powered by wind. It’s called Mine Kafon. I look at this machine and think of a robotic vacuum cleaner. Mine Kafon works in a similar way except for it does not use electric power to do the the job. And it works for a much greater cause than cleaning an apartment.
The project recently got funding through Kickstarter and found many supporters. It’s going on the fields in Afghanistan this summer. As Massoud puts it, “one less land mine means one saved life”.
