The company invites everyone to join their membership programme across 8,000 locations in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Walgreens is headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois with over 5,200 people working there alone and many more in local stores. Established in 1902, Walgreens is over 100 years old. Their stores were originally connected to local groceries, but lately also opened as standalone locations.

Surveyed at the World Economic Forum, 469 experts and industry leaders created a list of top 50 global risks for 2012. The list includes very common risks, such as income disparity, terrorism and cyber attacks, but it also includes some that most people will totally neglect.
These risks are volcanic winter, militarisation of space and unprecedented geophysical destruction, among others. They way you relate to these risks is that they are factored into policy making by governments and financial institutions that lend money to us, including banks. In some way, we pay for these risks.

There is a bridge in Scotland that is famous for dog suicides. Since 1950 until today, over 50 dogs have leaped from Overtoun bridge and killed themselves. The phenomenon is not fully understood, although an animal habitat expert brought to investigate the case concluded that the dogs jump off the bridge because they are attracted by the scent of urine of male minks living below the bridge.
