It is prohibited to use PC printers on board the plane

Italian airport in Rome (Ciampino) considers it useful to remind their passengers that PC printers may not be used on board the aircraft.

From now on, I will think twice before packing my PC printer into my hand luggage.

And also CD Readers… What about DVD readers? Just a couple weeks ago I had a portable DVD player onboard and noone complained. Perhaps they knew it’s a DVD and not a CD reader. Next time will tease them with a printer and see 😉

PC printers come in portable (about the same size as a notebook computer) and ultra portable, about 1/4 the size. Also many people take larger printers with them as luggage when they have meetings.
