The so-called Rape Axe condom was invented by a woman from South Africa, the country with one of the highest rape crime rate in the world. Worn inside the vagina like a tampon, the condom has inward-facing “teeth” that stick to the rapist’s penis upon withdrawal. The condom causes pain and scares the rapist. It can only be removed surgically and therefore police often gets notified about the crime.
