Venus is bright enough to be seen during the day

October 1, 2011

Venus is bright enough to be sometimes seen during the day without binoculars or a telescope. Like the Moon, it is capable of showing its crescent phase.

This picture was taken in Budapest, Hungary in 2004, when the Moon and Venus shared a similar crescent phase for a few minutes.
