These photographs show ice formations in Antarctica. You may find these photographs elsewhere on the web captioned as ‘frozen tsunami’ or ‘frozen waves’.

Despite these photos look somewhat like frozen waves, they are not. Wrongly captioned, these formations are not tsunami driven, nor are they fronzen waves.

The wave-like formations resulted from compacted ice uplifted by glaciation and smoothed by melting of ice and snow.

Despite popular inaccurate interpretation of these images, the photographs are genuine and are truly magnificent.
