Jeanne Louise Calment (1875 – 1997) lived to the age of 122 and was declared the oldest person ever in 1995. Today, Jeanne has the longest confirmed human life span in history. In fact, she is the only person ever to have reached 120 years of age.
Jeanne Calment appeared in a film at the age of 114 and quit smoking at 117. At the age of 13, she once sold coloured pencils to Van Gogh.
