World’s most expensive photo

This is the world’s most expensive photo.

It was sold at a Christie’s auction last week for stunning $3,890,500. You may wonder what makes this photo so special? Well, nothing. Experts say that it’s not really about the photo, but rather about people competing against it. Two people want the same thing. They compete to outbid one anther. That is in essence what drives the price up, not the actual photo.

“We are living in the world of funny money” – sums up David Ross, former director of the Whitney and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
