A trick that makes iPhone apps load so fast - load image infront of the app

When you start an iPhone app and see the app on your screen, it is not really the app that you see.

You see a screenshot of the app for 2 seconds before the actual app loads behind the screenshot.

This trick allows Apple to create an impression that applications on iPhone load instantly.

The screenshot is usually called “default.png” and is stored as part of the app on your iPhone.
