It’s pretty explainable, however, why Maria is the most popular name in 6 countries (Biblical context). I wonder what influences the choice, otherwise. Perhaps, celebrities?

I am not sure about the girls name in this study. As a Bulgarian, I can say that Victoria is not popular name at all here. The most popular for boys is definitely Georgi, there is no mistake here
According official data from the National Statistic Institute, 4.8% from the male bulgarians are Georgi and 3.2% for the females have Maria for first name.
