HSBC does not have an iPhone app. Business opportunity?

February 15, 2011 · 4 comments

Just got a new iPhone and wanted to connect to my bank via an iphone app so I can check my checking and savings accounts and any short term loans that I may have. Apparently, HSBC do not have an iPhone app, which is a shame. Instead, the Internet offers to use an app from a competing bank (Natwest).

I am not going to use it because I do not want to share my personal and bank information with another bank in such a direct way. @HSBC, you should take a note here. I am sure some of your customers do share their information with Natwest, just because there is no iPhone app for HSBC. Please build an app for iPhone.

Thanks for the content @twenycent

Update: looks like NatWest app is not really working for HSBC. So we are left to wait until they build an app, or someone builds it and then sells it to HSBC.

definetely agree, HSBC is really late on this case. I am considering to move my money to another account to be able to access my account from my iPhone! Wake Up HSBC you can't pretend to be the world local bank if you don't offer access to account on the move! big fail!
