People interact with a wall by jumping and waving

November 10, 2010

Kinect is a controller-free gaming technology by Microsoft used in Xbox 360 video game platform. It enables users to control and interact with the Xbox without the need to touch a game controller. Interaction happens entirely through a natural user interface using mainly gestures and spoken commands.

A few days ago, this technology was released worldwide and was demonstrated in 23 European cities. One of the events took place in Munich, where people interacted with lights, projected on the wall of a medieval building. By jumping and waving, people could control the lights.

Not a dad start, I say. Perhaps, one day we will be able to drive without touching the steering wheel?
